Just 48 hours ago, we launched our highly anticipated Stay, Play, and Connect sessions at Autism & Neurodiversity North Scotland’s (A&ND) facility in Aberdeen, and we are thrilled to announce that our very first session is nearly fully booked! The overwhelming response has confirmed the need for this unique and inclusive space, and we couldn’t be more excited to see families engage with it.
Our sessions are designed to provide neurodiverse children and young people, aged 0-16, with a supportive, non-judgemental, and sensory-friendly environment where they can thrive. The facility offers a variety of spaces, including our soft play structure, sensory room, and tech room, each carefully tailored to meet the diverse needs of the children. Parents and carers can also relax, connect with one another, and access support from one of our trained staff.

Why You Should Join:
Each session offers a safe and welcoming space where children can explore, play, and connect with others while their parents and carers can connect, and are supported by our friendly staff. With light refreshments available for the children and complimentary tea and coffee for the adults, there’s something for everyone. A donation tin will be available for those who wish to contribute to replenishing supplies.
The level of interest and the number of bookings already received, especially for block sessions, have exceeded our expectations. We strongly encourage families to book in advance to avoid disappointment, as spaces are limited.
What to Expect:
Soft Play Area: A sensory-friendly, indoor space perfect for younger children to play and engage in a safe and stimulating environment.
Sensory Room: Designed with the specific sensory needs of neurodiverse children in mind, this room offers a calm, soothing atmosphere (bubble tube, fiberoptic lighting, water bed and interactive wall panels) .
Tech Room: Features computer consoles, pool, table tennis, and air hockey - ideal for children who prefer more active, hands-on play.
Looking to the Future:
If demand continues to grow, we are more than happy to explore the possibility of offering additional sessions and expanding the schedule. As of now, single sessions or blocks of sessions can be booked, depending on your child and family’s needs.
We are beyond delighted to see such a positive response to this initiative and look forward to welcoming even more families to our Stay, Play, and Connect sessions in the coming weeks!
