Support Groups
Following feedback from people we support our support groups have changed in October 2023.

We currently have 4 support groups running, one per week on a rolling basis:

-
Family Walks - Meeting at a location within Aberdeen City for a relaxed walk, whist getting a chance to talk about your experiences. This is for family members, professionals or people with lived experience. Everyone is welcome.
-
Information Sessions - Held at our Carnie Drive office, come along and learn more about A-ND and other services available. Guest speakers to start in 2024. Everyone is welcome.
-
Lived Experience Group @ Carnie Drive - If you are 18+ and have lived experience of autism and would like to meet other people in a calm, inclusive space, please come along.
-
Lived Experience Group @ Davidson House - If you are 18+ and have lived experience of autism and would like to socialise in a home from home environment please join us.

Our support groups are funded by the Scottish Autism and ACVO's Communities Health & Well-being Fund and facilitated by one of our team, with the focus, agenda, activities & guest speakers chosen by the members of each group.
Generally, our support groups aim to build the confidence of those attending, provide a safe space to share experiences & knowledge of being autistic, parenting and caring for an autistic child, young person or adult and provide peer support & develop helpful strategies, promoting whole family well-being.

Demand for our support groups is high & we have limited spaces due size & capacity of our building. To confirm a place for any of our support groups, please contact us at referrals@a-nd.org.uk or click link below.
