A-ND say a 'bye for now' to Kayleigh

Our very own Kayleigh has decided to take the tough and courageous decision to prioritise her family and will be leaving her role as Playscheme Team leader on 20th March 2024. A reminder of the delicate balance between our professional lives and the personal journeys we navigate alongside. We are comforted by the thought that Kayleigh won’t be too far away, continuing to impact our community as a support worker with A-ND when possible.

Thank you for all you have brought and the love you have given to all you have supported throughout your last 2+ years with A-ND. 🙏🏼

A few words from Kayleigh she wanted to share... ♥️

Playscheme Families, Staff and the wider organisation,

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to let you all know that I will be resigning from my post as Playscheme Team Leader.

Sadly, over the last few months we have faced challenges at home with my daughter. We have made a decision as a family that I will take some time at home to enable us to support her more closely. This is a decision I have not taken lightly, but it is the right decision for my family at this time.

My time at A-ND has been the most wonderful experience and I have enjoyed getting to know each and every one of you. It has been a pleasure and honour to be part of the lives of so many wonderful people. Especially the children in playscheme, who I have made so many beautiful connections with over the last few years. It has been a pleasure to watch each one of you grow and thrive. I have also had the privilege of getting to know some of you in our Outreach service where I have created some close bonds, had some incredible conversations and experiences. I wish to thank you all for allowing me into your lives and creating some wonderful relationships and memories along the way.

In some happier news, I do intend to stay in playscheme as a support worker on occasion and perhaps Outreach as well. So I won’t be too far away from my A-ND Family.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank Billy, Shona, and the wider Team for all of the wonderful development opportunities over the years.  This has contributed to not only my professional growth but my personal growth as well. I am forever grateful that I have been part of such a warm and welcoming team of beautiful people.

My last day will be Wednesday 20th April, I will be taking the opportunity until then to catch as many of you as possible before I leave.

Thank you all again for the wonderful experiences and connections, keep making magic! I look forward to reconnecting when I return to support work.

Warm regards,

Kayleigh
